I’m not really sure where the idea first came to mind, but I do remember someone quipping, “Tough times don’t last. Tough people do.” Probably with some hand made typography. Maybe it had something to do with it being a little more challenging than usual this year. It does feel like life is taking shots at me.
I did know that I wanted something dynamic. Something with motion and intensity. Plus I’m still toying around with idea of catching a glimpse of a moment – a snapshot of an event that leaves us asking questions.
Hand sketched with pencil which was then transferred to Adobe Illustrator for “inking”. Final, cut product is eight inches tall by ten inches wide. Printed in custom mixed ink on French Paper Inc. 100 lb cover stock.
