1940s and 50s illustration has been weighing heavy on my mind lately and I finally got a chance for put it to use of a retelling of Taming of the Shrew in a Wild West setting. This is part of a back-t0-back showing of two Shakespeare plays so the idea was to make a paired poster of sorts. If you stack the 11 by 17 inch posters together (below) you can see the central point in the sun-like object with the women (I’ve been loving the strong female leads in television and movies lately) on opposite sides.
